BJ Penn Wants His Title Back!

Since the two title title loses to the Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar, people have been wondering is BJ Penn ever going to be on the top again. Well I think he will be. Since the two boughts BJ Penn was put on the fight card for UFC 123 and he put on a heck of a show for the people of Michigan. The fight was between the great Matt Hughes and of course BJ Penn. People where expecting this fight to be a fight to go the distance, but not in BJ Penn eyes. In the first we saw a different BJ in the Octagon because this BJ was more the agressor in this fight which kind of threw Matt Hughes off guard. Penn ended up knocking out Matt Hughes in the 1st round in 0:21. It was an amazing victory for Penn and I think it's going to show alot of people BJ Penn is still around and rockin. So for Frankie Edgar who is still a great fighter better watch out because alot of people are coming after him and BJ Penn is definately one of them.

I'm going to make a few changes to this and the changes are that I'm not just going to talk about UFC, but the fact I'm going to talk about things in other heavy franchises such as Strikeforce and other large MMA organization. This time the blog will be more in depth with what's going on with the MMA world.

The Greatest Fighter in the UFC

To me I feel this fighter is one of the greatest fighters to place themselves in the octagon. The fighter I'm talking about is Anderson "The Spider" Silva. He is from Brazil and has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Judo. Also having a yellow belt in Capoeira. Silva has been a professional since 2000 and has been a dominant force ever since. Even though he has had some unexpected losses to other competitiors he has had some amazing wins over some great competitors. Even though he has been known well when he was with Pride and other fighting organization he has never been as famous for his UFC career. Since his career after his debut fight he was offered a title shot against the great Rich Franklin and since that win he hasn't lost a fight. I feel that Anderson Silva is a great and the way he is fighting I don't think anybodyu can beat him. He has the longest record for title defense. I think Anderson Silva should move up a weight class to get a greater challenge in the UFC, but anyway you look at it i feel Anderson Silva is the greatest fighter ever.

UFC 115 : Liddell vs. Franklin

This Saturday June 12, 2010 two great experienced fighters will be going at it. The fight is between the heavy handed Chuck "Iceman" Liddell and the amazing fighter Rich "Ace" Franklin. I feel this is going to be a very even fight, but both fighters have there techniques that make them special. I think this fight can be a fight that could go the distance or it can be a fight that can be electrifying and fast. I feel that Liddell has to be careful of Franklin's ground game because I feel that Liddell has a moderate ground game. For Franklin he needs to be careful of the up top game with Liddell because Liddell's has a mean over hand right which if it connects it could be lights out. I think these fighters are at a older point in there career and trying to get the title one last time. I think if Chuck Liddell doesn't win this fight he will retire for good in the UFC. This fight determines life or death in Liddell's UFC Career. Overall this is going to be an exciting fight on Saturday and I can't wait to see the fight. In all I am definetly rooting for Liddell because I don't want to see him leave the UFC.

John Hathaway Prevails Over Diego Sanchez. What Roads Will They Take In There Careers?

In the last at UFC 114 John Hathaway beat Diego Sanchez by unanimous decision. I feel this fight determined which road these fighters will take in the UFC. This is Diego Sanchez second loss in a row and I feel Sanchez might go down on the totem pole as a top competitor in the UFC, but maybe these two losses might help him improve his fighting strategies and help him learn from his mistakes in the ring. Overall right now Diego is in the position where he could take any road in the UFC. On the other hand John Hathaway was very unexpected to win this fight against Sanchez, but this fight might show for Hathaway to have a great career in the UFC. Dana White said,"That this fight was an amazing fight and that this fight might give the Hitman a bright future." Overall I feel that Hathaway is at the top of his game and I feel after this it's going to take alot for someone to beat him. Overall these are to great competitor in the UFC and I hope they both succeed in the UFC.
